Expressions of interest for the 2025 Research Trip in the Outskirts of Nature ConservationOpened! Please read the registration instructions carefully. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

On July 21\u201326, we will gather in two different places in the country to carry out two wonderfulTrips: Angsj\u00f6ns Camping in Bjurholm and Tre S\u00e5gar in Korpilombolo. On eachAccommodation we have access to food, accommodation and meeting room. The number of places is limited to approx.40\u201345 pcs. <\/p>\n\n

Instructions<\/h3>\n\n

It is only today, Thursday 10 April, between 07.00-22.00, that there isopportunity to submit their expression of interest. After that, the places are raffled off. Notice oflocation or not will be notified by e-mail during the following week. Also places forThe reserve list will be drawn by lot. You can only sign up for one of the trips. There is aname on both trips, the person is automatically deleted. <\/p>\n\n

Registration for the Research Trip 2025 has closed. It is no longer possible to register for the trips (also applies to the reserve list). <\/p>\n\n

What is it about?<\/h3>\n\n

The idea is that we as participants for a week take an inventory of interesting and threatenedforest environments with high conservation values. The knowledge collected helps to increase thethe chances of protecting the forests visited and providing the participants with new knowledgeon nature value assessment to protect forests at home. Everything happens during pleasantforms where everyone learns from each other. The evenings are spent looking at all the species finds that have been madeduring the day, compilation of collected data, reporting to Artportalen andA single lecture for in-depth study. Expect to make friends for life! <\/p>\n\n

Who can participate?<\/h3>\n\n

Anyone who can get out into the woods. You don’t need to be a biologist or know a lot of thingsSpecies. However, it is good if you are passionate about curiosity and the desire to protect those at riskforests. An adaptation is made to your experiences and ability to move forward inForest. Anyone who wants to take stock at a leisurely pace should be able to do so. Your eyes willdiscover things that perhaps no one else has seen before \u2013 you are important! The interest inParticipation is usually huge, so we see that those of you who sign up participate all week. <\/p>\n\n

Accommodation & food<\/h3>\n\n

We live in multi-bed rooms. If you prefer to camp, you are welcome to do so in connection with theto the accommodation facility. The food is vegetarian and is arranged with a hearty breakfast atmorning and a packed lunch out in the field. In the evening we eat dinner together afterreturn. Each accommodation facility has different arrangements in terms of rooms andcapacity. More information will be sent in an email to the participants of the Research Trip. <\/p>\n\n

Travel Bjurholm<\/h3>\n\n

Angsj\u00f6ns Camping<\/strong> in Bjurholm can be reached by taking the train from Stockholm toUme\u00e5 at 06:22 or 09:22 on July 21.In Ume\u00e5, you change to bus 14 towards Vilhelmina. Get off in Balsj\u00f6\u00e5sen (Arrive around 11:35or 17:50).From Balsj\u00f6\u00e5sen it is about 6 km to Angsj\u00f6ns Camping where we will stay duringweek (The coordination group arranges transport from the bus).Plan your trip well in advance! Travels Korpilombolo<\/h3>\n\n

You can get to Korpilombolo by taking the night train from Stockholm to Lule\u00e5, departure18:09 or 21:55 on Sunday 20\/7.In Lule\u00e5, you change to bus 55 towards Pajala with departure at 12:00 or 17:10. Get offKorpilombolo bus station (Arrive at 14:45 or 19:45).From the bus station, it is about a 2-minute walk to Tre s\u00e5gar on \u00d6verkalixv\u00e4gen8, where we will stay during the week.Plan your trip well in advance! Rough schedule<\/h3>\n\n

21 July<\/strong> \u2013 arrival day. We start with dinner at 18.00 followed by an introduction andoptional evening activities. Arrive well in advance for accommodation. <\/p>\n\n

22 July<\/strong> \u2013 calibration in reference forest and forest inventory. Short training for those whoNot inventoried forest before. <\/p>\n\n

23\u201324 July<\/strong> \u2013 forest inventories, full day.<\/p>\n\n

July 26<\/strong> \u2013 departure day with cleaning and joint breakfast in the morning. Opportunityto pack a packed lunch for the journey home. <\/p>\n\n
