Tips on what you can do
- Join an association that works to support biodiversity and preserve forests. Through the association’s work, you can make your voice heard
- Move in nature, get to know the forest and its species, take an inventory of endangered forests – knowledge saves forests
- Contact a company/authority with questions about felling
- Criticize, for example, companies that harvest and sell old-growth forest
- Contact your elected representatives to tell us your opinions
- Sign petitions
- Speak up, even on social media, when someone claims that the Swedish forestry model is sustainable
Show research that indicates that this is not true - Protect the forest in your local area and elsewhere. Question felling of forests with high conservation values or high social values
- Shop second-hand when you need something. Try redoing your furniture with new paint/fabric
- Say no to advertising. Print on both sides of the paper when printing and do not print unnecessarily. Borrow books and magazines instead of buying new ones
- Use reusable products and avoid single-use products
