Nina is originally from Germany, works in tourism and culture and has always had a love for nature and outdoor life. When she moved to Sweden and found out how skewed and false the image of Sweden’s forests is abroad, she became so angry that she began to get involved in the forest in the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and Protect the Forest. Since then, she has built on her knowledge of species and forest ecosystems. Nowadays, she coordinates Protect the Forest’s local group in Stockholm and helps with the association’s communication.
