Åsa Svensson was born and raised in Stockholm and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Systems Science from Stockholm University. She was elected to the board in 2026. The assignment as guardian of the forest is her first board assignment in a non-profit association. Åsa works as a system developer. She divides her time between an apartment in Stockholm and a small house in Bergslagen. In her spare time, she likes to leave her computer to be out in the woods and fields. The feeling that something is wrong in how the forest is managed has grown as more and more clear-cuts have appeared in the forests where she moves.
